AAA Battery Service Call Taking Procedures
Battery Service hours of operation vary, and are subject to change. Mobile Battery Service is available in PARTS of the following areas: Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Nassau, Suffolk, Lower Westchester, Upper Westchester, Orange, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland, Ulster, Oneida and Herkimer counties.
D-2000 will automatically qualify a possible AAA Battery Service call by looking at the age of the vehicle and determining if the member is in an area where Battery Service is available.
D-2000 has been programmed to automatically pop a script box up when the correct Triage questions have been answered where the vehicle is more than 3 years old and the vehicle is in an area where Battery Service is available.
If the member's battery is new and/or you have mutually determined the problem is not battery related click on No and proceed normally.
If the member's battery is old and/or you have mutually determined the problem may be battery related click on Yes.
D-2000 will select the Pacesetter Battery Service dispatch code and the Battery Service speech will come up. To ensure the Battery Service speech comes up, the call MUST be spotted as soon as you acquire the member’s breakdown location.

All Battery Service calls require a phone number or connect the member to the station.

How much do the batteries cost?
Due to the many types of batteries available, members must speak to the station regarding pricing..
What if the member has a Battery Service related complaint?
If the member has a complaint regarding Battery Service, write up a service report and send it to Member Relations.
Will the driver take away the old battery?
Yes. The driver will take the old battery away for environmentally safe recycling.
Do members get a cheaper price by buying a battery through AAA Battery Service?
Not necessarily. The price of the battery includes testing and installation. Members pay for the convenience of having the battery tested and replaced on the spot.
What types of batteries are sold?
Batteries will have the AAA brand logo on them. The batteries are manufactured by East Penn, one of the leading battery manufacturers.
What if the Battery Service truck is not available?
The member can make an appointment with the station for the Battery Service truck.
What if Battery Service is not available in the area the member is in?
Unfortunately, Battery Service is not available in all areas. The member will still receive normal AAA service.
