Employee Calls

If a caller identifies him/herself as a AAA New York employee, the following procedure should be used:

  • Ask the employee for his/her membership number, starting with the club code (All employees who have signed up for a club sponsored AAA membership have been given valid memberships, which should be in D-2000 and MZP.)
  • If the employee has the membership number, enter it into D-2000 using 097 as the club code, just as you would any member. (remember this is a valid AAA membership).
  • If the employee does not have their membership number do a name lookup.
  • If a membership comes up under a name search, have the caller verify the home address on the membership (as you would with any other membership).
  • Proceed as normal.
  • If no membership is found, enter a call using the 779 (Employee Call) club code. Enter a CM number as the membership number i.e. CM03 in March.
  • Advise the caller that he/she will be billed by AAA for the cost of the call.
  • Proceed as normal.

Reminders:

An employee must have a valid AAA membership to receive member benefits. If no membership has been established, the employee will be billed for the service.

Employees must be employed with AAA New York at least 6 months in order to be eligible. They must fill out and return the AAA Employee membership form in order to receive a club sponsored employee membership.

The 779 club code should ONLY be used for AAA New York employees who DO NOT have a VALID membership. It should NEVER be used for non-employee calls.

All AAA rules and regulations apply to employee memberships including:

·         Member is entitled to 4 ERS calls per membership year.

·         The member must be present at the time of service
