Flatbed Service
- There are vehicles that require flatbeds such as All Wheel Drive vehicles
- D-2000 has been set up to automatically flag vehicles that require flatbeds. A list of makes and models that require flatbeds is also available on the intranet. The Flatbed required box cannot be manually chosen. It can only be automatically checked by D-2000.
It is important that the vehicle make and model be entered correctly to flag appropriate vehicles. See Entering Vehicle Models for the proper procedure.
- There may be special situations that cause a vehicle to need a flatbed when it normally does not, i.e. the wheels are locked in a turned position or the vehicle has 4 flat tires. Note reasons or situations in comments, along with using the 6F t-code.
- There may also be occasions when a member requests a flatbed when it is not required.
- Note reasons or situations in comments, along with using the 6F t-code.
- Advise the member that requesting a flatbed when one is not required may result in a delay in service due to a possible limited availability of flatbeds.
