NPA Calls
D-2000 speeches are set up to ask for phone numbers when they are required. These speeches may come up based on station or location.
If no speech comes up saying the counselor must get a phone number during the call entry then a phone number is not required.
Getting a phone number is always recommended but if the speech does not come up it isn’t required.
If a phone number is not required then it is not necessary to transfer the call to Files as an NPA call.
If you need to know if a station requires phone numbers you can check in Electronic Post under stations. Below the stations I.D. number will be either (MAP) or (NON MAP). MAP stations require phone numbers, NON MAP stations do not.
If there is a question or problem with a member’s location or trouble it would be a good idea to connect the member to the station and make sure the station does not have any questions about the call.
**Locksmith calls always require a phone number.
**T6 (tow) calls always require a phone number.
