Dealer Plates

POLICY:

AAA does not cover vehicles with dealer plates. Vehicles with dealer plates are technically unregistered. AAA does not cover unregistered vehicles.

If a vehicle has dealer plates, AAA will only send service on a commercial basis. The rates would be determined by the responding facility.

Loaner cars are registered and, as such, are covered by AAA.

EXCEPTION: Dealer plates are covered under all RAP programs.

PROCEDURE:

Advise member of policy.

Offer to send service on a commercial basis or give the member the name and phone number of the facility that handles the area so the member can contact them directly to arrange service.
