GRACE PERIODS

POLICY:

There is a 10 day grace period for Basic Emergency Road Service. Non-renewed (pending) members can still place ERS calls up until 10 days after the membership expires.

There is no grace period for Plus service. Plus members will receive Basic service only during the grace period.

Plus members renewing late are subject to a 10 day wait for the Plus portion of their membership to go into effect.

Members receive a 60 day grace period for non-ERS services; Membership, Travel, Trip Tiks etc.

PROCEDURE:

If a member is within their grace period, ask the member to renew with a credit card. If the member cannot do this, place a call (Basic service only) for the member and advise them they are within their 10 day grace period. Advise them to renew the membership as soon as possible to avoid a lapse in coverage.
