Tow Rider

POLICY:

Tow Rider memberships are offered by a few clubs. This m/s type entitles members to more than a basic m/s, but less than a plus m/s. The number of miles covered varies from club to club. ACNY does not currently offer this type of m/s.

PROCEDURE:

If an affiliate ‘Tow Rider’ member breaks down in our territory, the call should be handled as a basic call - 3 free tow miles & the member is responsible for any additional charges. The member should submit the bill to their home club for review and possible reimbursement.

If a call receiver takes a call for a member with this type of m/s and verifies m/s through CDX, the m/s type in D/2000 will show as basic. If the member advises that they have a Tow Rider m/s, the call receiver should NOT change the m/s type in D/2000 to Tow Rider.

The call should be taken as basic & instruct the member to submit any additional charges to their home club.

Stations should also be aware of this type of membership & should be instructed to handle these calls as basic.
